Follow Mode
- V1.1 introduces “Follow Mode”, where TITAN follows movements of its frame.
- Follow mode can be enabled, disabled, and tuned by navigating to the Controls page from the home screen or the dock and then pressing the Follow button.
Limits updates
- Collision and Steering Limits are now available when axes are controlled by TITAN Wheels.
- Collision Limits and Steering Limits now live on separate pages.
- A “Set Limits Here” button has been added. This feature allows you to move TITAN to a desired position and set a limit at that location - this feature works on Controller and Spine.
- For Collision Limits, a “Brake Distance” parameter has been added to tune limit performance. Increase Brake Distance to create a “soft stop” effect when approaching a limit. Note that proper tuning is still essential for smooth limit performance.
Upgraded Tuning system
- The stabilization system has been overhauled to allow for easier tuning and better stabilization performance.
- Tuning parameters have been changed as a result of the new tuning system, and a Gyro rate bar has been added to the Tuning page on each axis for quick visualization of tuning performance.
Enhanced FIZ control system
- The FIZ control system has been fully revamped, granting smooth performance at drastically lower speeds than previously.
- Calibration routine has been improved to allow for successful calibrations of a wider range of lens stiffnesses.
- Motor soft-stop behavior at the edges of the calibration range is improved, allowing for sharper movements while still protecting the integrity of your lens.
- TITAN now supports both the HEDÉN m21 and m26 motors in both their 256-tick and 512-tick encoder variants.
Configurable Wireless Channels
- Wireless channel selection is now available. This allows you to select wireless channels with the lowest interference by using the Auto-Detect feature or manual selection.
- You can now bind any TITAN Controller to any TITAN Gimbal. This allows multiple TITANs and TITAN LTs to operate in the same vicinity without interference.
NODO Inertia Wheels integration
- V1.1 TITAN can be controlled by NODO Inertia Wheels using the MotoCrane Serial Adapter.
User Interface Updates
- Reactive UI: The UI (User interface) system has been overhauled to notify you of available and unavailable actions. It will provide you feedback when you try to execute an unavailable action.
- Improved Battery Percentage: The battery bar has been updated to show you a more accurate state of charge estimate for your TITAN battery with lower variation when driving axes.
- Satellite Display: When operating with a GPS connection, the number of satellites TITAN is currently connected to is displayed next to a satellite icon in the Header. Additionally, when GPS Assist is turned ON, this indicator is lit brightly, and is dimmed when GPS Assist is OFF.
- Wireless Strength Display: The link icon in the top left is replaced with a wireless strength indicator when TITAN is being operated wirelessly. When the TITAN Controller is connected with a COM cable, the Link icon is displayed.
- Control Mode Indicator: Which control mode is active (Follow Mode vs Standard) is visible in the header.
Increased encoder resilience
- When operating large camera packages at high G loads, axis encoders could produce an error which turns motors off. This system has been made more resilient to allow for increased reliability in rough conditions.
Misc.
- General reliability updates.
- New firmware version screen.
- Error logs persist across power cycles.
